Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the ShinyWidgets mobile application (the “App”), published by Inspidered.org (“we”, “us”), handles information. By installing or using the App you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The short version

We do not collect personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising networks. The App works offline for gameplay. The only information it sends to us is an anonymous random identifier and a count of games you have completed, used solely to display a global total of games played across all players.

Information the App handles

Stored on your device only

• Your settings and preferences (for example, selected theme and difficulty).
• Counts of games you start and complete, per theme.
• Whether you have unlocked the premium themes, and any beta-unlock code you enter.

This information stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling the App.

Sent to our server

To show a worldwide total of games played, the App periodically sends the following to our own server at inspidered.org:

• An anonymous install identifier — a random value the App generates on your device. It is not linked to you, your name, your Google account, your email, or your device’s advertising ID, and it cannot be used to identify you.
• The number of completed games per theme and the App’s version number.

That is the entire contents of what we receive. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise or coarse location, contacts, photos, messages, device advertising identifier, or any other personal or sensitive information.

How we use it

The anonymous counts are aggregated across all installs to produce a single global “games played” figure and to understand which themes are used. We use the anonymous install identifier only to avoid double-counting the same device. We do not build profiles, and we do not attempt to identify individual users.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share this information with third parties. It is stored on our own server and used only as described above. We may disclose information if required by law.

Purchases

The premium themes are unlocked through a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Payments are handled entirely by Google; the App does not receive, process, or store your payment details. Google’s handling of your purchase is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Updates

The App may check Google Play for a newer version and offer to update. This uses Google Play services and does not send any additional information to us.

Children

The App is a family-friendly card game but is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, no personal information from children is collected. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will address it.

Data retention and your choices

Because we hold only anonymous counts tied to a random identifier, we cannot look up or return “your” data. You can stop all data transmission by playing offline (turning off your device’s network) or by uninstalling the App. If you would like the anonymous record associated with your install removed, contact us at marcmaxmeister@gmail.com and, where feasible, we will delete it.

Security

Data sent to our server is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but the information involved is limited and anonymous.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and posting the new policy at this address.
